Ellen Whealton

Ellen's approach stems from a life-changing head injury and subsequent near-death experience. This spiritual event gave Ellen first-hand knowledge of the immense web of love and support that is available to us at all times.

Over the past 14 years, she has developed an approach that combines transpersonal counseling, music therapy techniques, meditation, crystal singing bowls, journeying through essential oils, guided imagery and intuition. Her goal is to help you use music and imagery as a tool to connect with something greater, recognize your untapped potential, and discover how to lead an inspired, content and harmonious life.

Education: In 2001, Ellen graduated with a Masters in Transpersonal Counseling with an Emphasis in Music Therapy from Naropa University. At Naropa, Ellen learned about the powerful effects of meditation and how aspects of meditation can be integrated into the music therapy setting. Further studies into the Bonny Method of Guided Imagery and Music brought her education and her personal experience full circle. Ellen is licensed through the National Certification Board for Music Therapists.

Presentations: Ellen Whealton is a highly accomplished presenter able to lead audience members though deeply transformative experiences. She is also an educator, teaching participants how to use alternative approaches to bring about insight, support and positive life changes. Ellen has presented at major universities, holistic retreats, medical facilities, conferences and therapy centers in the Greater San Diego Area, Greater Boston Area and in Austin, TX. She is also an esteemed instructor for Music Therapy Ed, where she instructs an online course about music-assisted imagery.
