Frankie Harris

Frankie Harris, a Black creative, mother, and grandmother resides in the Hill District Community of Pittsburgh PA. She first came to Ujamaa around 2013 as a customer and then later to provide support in decorating Ujamaa’s windows in its original boutique location. Since then, she has grown to be responsible for all the product merchandising and display in our retail boutique, pop-ups, and special events. Harris is the boutique manager and coordinates all things related to the organization’s physical space. She additionally manages most of the relationships with vendors and customers, as well as many of our community partnerships. Harris is the conscientious spirit behind the healing vibe and nurturing energy that supports the community when one walks through Ujamaa’s doors. Throughout her life, Frankie has served in many roles: as an art curator, special events planner, and decorator.
