Katie LeDoux

My name is Katie LeDoux and I am the Executive Director of this unique company based in Omaha, NE. My friends would describe me as dedicated, creative, diligent, and festive. At Sunflower, I provide highly personalized grant research and grant writing services to all types of organizations, such as yours.

I grew up in Saint Louis, MO and spent the first 17 years of my career living and working in Washington, DC. My husband and I moved to Omaha in May 2017 and we are very happy to call this area home.  Since launching my company, I have been able to secure grants ranging from $5,000 to $50,000:  grants that helped to fund wish lists including arts programs for kids and city development. I have also helped small organizations and small businesses obtain federal funding, such as through the CARES Act.

My nonprofit experience spans 18 years at the Smithsonian American Art Museum, the Smithsonian Folklife Festive, the George Washington University Lisner Auditorium, and the Kennedy Center. While at these amazing places, I spent many hours getting grants for programs and public art projects.

I am here to research possibilities, write and submit grants, and complete any reporting at the end of the process. Essentially, my goal is to help your business fulfill its goals. And as we begin to dig into things, you may be surprised to find out how many relevant grants there are out there. Consider me your full-time Development staff member.

I know from extensive firsthand experience that nonprofits are often stretched thin in personnel and funding. One thing that sets Sunflower apart from competitors is the focused, personalized attention that you would receive during our work together and the depth and breadth of my nonprofit experience.
